The first step to a career in diving - Learn how to organise and conduct diving activities in a safe and professional manner. This demanding course is both fun and rewarding. You will be continually assessed by your instructors and tested through several exams. Maturity and commitment are required to successfully complete this course. In order to work as a Dive Guide or become a diving instructor you must earn the PADI Dive Master rating.

Dive Builder

(Optional Add On to PADI Dive Master Course)

This course is only available to students taking part in a professional course at a European Diving Centre - Training Academy. It allows you to build your dive numbers, gain more experience and confidence, plus enjoy some fabulous diving at amazing prices. You can tailor your dive builder to as many weeks as you wish and the dive builder can be used before or after your professional course. Each week of the dive builder includes 1 week of diving (6 days) – 3 dives per day and 1 Free Speciality Course (excluding manual and certification) all for just £149

This program is aimed at open water divers who have been bitten by the diving bug and want to learn as much as they can about the sport. This course is intensive and great fun. You will learn practical diving skills, first aid and rescue techniques and gain a sound understanding of dive theory. You will understand how to assist instructors teaching courses, guide qualified divers and competently plan and organise daily diving. At the end of the internship you will be a PADI Dive Master – the first professional diving qualification enabling you to gain employment as a dive guide or go on to become a PADI instructor. Instructor Development Course (IDC)

Become a PADI instructor by holding the PADI Dive Master rating and enrolling on an IDC conducted by a PADI Course Director at European Diving Centre. The course will cover all elements of safe teaching practices, lesson preparation and planning, the PADI system of diver education and legal implications along with practical training and knowledge and fitness assessments. Upon completion of the IDC you will be eligible to enrol in a PADI Instructor Examination (IE) in which you will be independently assessed by PADI. At European Diving Centre we schedule our IDC's to coincide with the PADI IE in resort. We include an IDC Prep day prior to the IDC to ensure you are fully prepared and get the best out of your IDC.

What is involved in learning to dive?
Diving is an exciting sport that opens up a world of totally unique experiences. There are a choice of courses and experience programs to suit your pocket and timescale. All PADI courses involve elements of knowledge development followed by practical training in shallow water and experience of deeper water, all under the close supervision of your PADI instructor.

Do I need to be really fit?
No, anyone who has a reasonable level of fitness can dive. You should be able to swim 200 metres unaided and perform moderate exercise. There is a medical statement which you will be required to complete prior to diving. Please ask for a copy.

Where is the best place to learn to dive?
Learning to dive on holiday, in warm clear water, in the sunshine is most peoples preferred option. It allows you to devote all your attention to the course and see some fantastic marine life. This all explains to you why Fethiye/Turkey is ideal.

How do I know I am getting a good quality course?
European Diving Centre Fethiye is associated and accredited highest dive centre level by PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) an internationally recognised organisation that is renowned for diver training.

All instructors speak English and have been independently assessed by PADI.

All diving standards are frequently monitored by European Diving Centre to ensure all safety, quality and service standards are adhered to.

Children and Diving
Diving is an activity that can be shared by all the family.Children can try diving from 8 years old by participating in a Bubble maker session. Children over 10 years can join Discover Scuba Diving programs or learn to dive. They can achieve either Junior Scuba Diver or Junior Open Water certifications which allow them to dive with their parents or guardian to limited depths and at 15 can upgrade their certification to full adult status.
